DESCRIPTION
Revitalizing this existing dining hall involved not only refreshing its overall aesthetic but also reconfiguring the layout to better connect the space to the main mall concourse—creating a more inviting environment that naturally draws customers in and encourages exploration.
Key interventions included the removal of existing retail kiosks and the infill of a floor opening to the level below, allowing for the introduction of a feature seating element strategically positioned beneath an existing skylight. This focal point, enhanced by natural light, acts as a visual anchor that pulls visitors into the dining hall and invites them to discover the variety of seating zones and experiences throughout the space.
A new, cohesive, and simplified storefront design criteria elevates the presentation of the food vendors, contributing to a more unified and contemporary identity. Complementing this, a light and warm material palette—accented with soft greens and blues—creates a calm, comfortable atmosphere for all to enjoy.
